The Gold Bar Warranty offers you the opportunity to upgrade to a Limited Lifetime Warranty on nearly all of the components of Clopay’s Coachman Collection, 3-Layer Gallery Collection, Cypress Collection, and Classic Collection garage doors. The Gold Bar Warranty ensures you get the best quality door parts and professional service. You will get to enjoy your new Clopay garage door knowing that its performance and hardware are guaranteed!

We will repair or replace (at our option) any garage door section or hardware that is defective in material or workmanship pursuant to the terms of this limited warranty. This warranty extends to and benefits only the original purchaser of the garage door. This warranty, also, does not apply to commercial, industrial or any other non-residential installation. We will provide (at no cost to you) sections/section components, hardware, springs/spring components and windows. However, all labor costs associated with the removal and re-installation of any repaired or replaced items will be the customer’s responsibility. We also reserve the right to inspect and/or verify any claimed defect. If after inspection, we see that a damage claim includes an item that in any way or degree has been altered, processed, misused or improperly handled the damage claim will not be covered.

Clopay warrants the sections of the selected models listed against, but not limited to, delamination of the polystyrene insulation from the steel skin, rust-through due to the paint finish cracking, and peeling (losing adhesion) in residential, single-family installations for the years designated from the date of delivery to the original purchaser. Extension springs have a three (3) year warranty. Unfortunately, no warranty is available for decorative hardware.

 Designer windows, snap-in inserts, clear acrylic windows, grills, and window frames are warranted for ten (10) years from date of purchase against manufacturing defects and excessive discoloration. This warranty does not cover any damage or loss caused by harmful chemical action, abrasive cleansers, or breakdowns due to climate extremes or environmental conditions. Insulated glass is warranted for a period of ten (10) years for material obstruction of vision resulting from film formation, dust, or moisture collection between the interior surfaces of the insulated glass window, pursuant to the terms of this limited warranty. No warranty is available for single pane glass.

Similar to most warranties, the Gold Bar Warranty does not cover deterioration due to damage or rust to the garage door caused by fire, an act of God, other accident or casualty, vandalism, radiation, harmful fumes, foreign substances in the atmosphere, failure of paint that is not applied per Clopay’s specifications, failure to follow all installation and maintenance instructions, or any damages due to normal wear and tear.

Royal Garage Door ensures every installation be done properly and within the guidelines of Clopay’s Gold Bar Warranty. After purchasing your new Clopay Gold Bar Warranty garage door, all paperwork and forms will be provided to ensure each customer knows how to properly paint, clean, maintain, and wax their new garage door if/when desired. Your new garage door will also include a Gold Bar Guarantee Sticker with a specialized registration code for reference if an issue ever arises. This registration code will be submitted with the purchaser’s information directly to the Clopay dealer site.
